Sydney Royal Easter show 2011

Today, i woke up before the sun, Its been a while since. I really need to fix my holiday habits.

Yay, Easter is soon. Im a proud to be a Sydney-sider because we have the Easter show every year. This year was pretty much the same as last year, which is the same as all the other years. Gladly,  I went with just my besties (girls) which means no boys to distract us and waste time and giggling, la di da crap. We managed to go most pavilions and shops.

A few photos to share:

First photo was of "cheese on a stick". Honestly it the most genius invention ever, its freakishly delicious, and you would have no taste buds if you said it was disgusting. Second was of "chips on a stick", its basically a potato slinky deep fried.  Funny how most carnival foods are on sticks.

We went to most of those farm places, except for the pigs and goats, because they will probably stink the most. The chicken place, was hilarious same with the lama. There's always something with Lamas that make me crack up.

Out of all the things i bought today:
  • Hand made necklace with my birthstone (turquoise).  $30 The man who made it for us told us some amazing stores as we watched him handmade our necklaces. He won an award at the Easter show, and let us take a picture with him. He is one of the nicest people you have ever met, and he has came all the way from Queensland to work at the Easter show.
  • Horse shoe for my father, since i already have one. $6 They are so cute, i always get one every single time. Usually on exams, I always put it on the corner of my desk, and teachers would always stop to touch it.
  • Bee wax scented candle. 3 for $35, which i kind of forced two of my friends to  buy one as well, and i love them for it. They scent is quite strong, but they smell so good.
  • Typo lanterns that my sister bought me, I specifically ordered flowery ones but she still hasn't learn to listen.. Now i don't know where to put them in my room.
  • And of course ripped off food and water through out the day. Things on sticks, and lemonade.

Firstly, I'm not a chink, It was obviously a very sunny moment, when the sun was setting. Took the photos right outside the showgrounds when we were about to leave. Leyla and Karen were have their late lunch/ Pre dinner, and Sally and I were just waiting, so might as well run around and do some shots. Its been a while since.

What i wore:
Dress: Handy down from sis. Priceless
Jacket: ValleyGirl $50

Necklace: Diva $15
Shoes: NewYork and company $30us
Bag: Guess store $60

Really exhausted, and my legs hurt.
Going to sleep good tonight.

Online haul

Early this morning, the same old post man came. He needs to get laid, his always in the shitty mood.  Good news, a few things finally arrived today!

First, what i have been waiting for. The original GHD straightener. At first i thought it was fake, because you cant always trust online purchasing. But the only way to check if its real is to register  the code on your straightener at the GHD official site. I bet you this straightener is just going to encourage me to use it even more, holidays so far, and i haven't been the straighter at all. Always remember to use hair protection, which i don't think it helps that much. My hair is so dead..... girl,  whenever you need a broom, you will be seeing me on that floor. (this one is the GHD IV styler)

What also arrived this morning was my coat i got online in ebay, which was from Old navy.

And lastly, some wedges. Originally i wanted fully plain black ones, which can easily be worn with anything. But this was the best i would find. And i just got that. The heels are not that tall, it is roughly 2.5 inches and they are pretty comfortable. I wrote it to and back to ChesterHill square today to get some sushi with my sis and we kept arguing who was going to pay this time Ugh.

Parramatta haul

So far my holidays was spending time at home pigging out, cleaning up, and sleeping. Something i couldn't have time to do during school. Luckily, today the weather was beautiful, lately its been freezing and the season fall has only began. I went Parramatta Westfields today, ironic that I'm still indoors ,but i did manage to get my daily UV.

Mainly I was shopping for birthday gifts for a few of my friends. It sucks that their birthdays are all clumped up in one month. My tip about buying birthday presents: buy them something you would want to have yourself. (Sometimes it's hard giving it away, rarely, i keep it to myself and go out to buy them something else, selfish, i know)

While i was at it, bought a few things for myself:
Small typo metal basket, really needed this actually. I hate little random things rolling around, saw it grabbed it and it was for a good 5 dollars.

Scented candles, I love them. Apparently scented candles are said to have a calming affect, mood improving and some how good for your health. These smell so good. jizzes, literally.
The three wick candle I bought form Susan, which is usually a clothes store for older women. But the table right in front of the entrance was very eye catching. That candle was for 25 dollars, and the other vanilla scented candle was from a home ware store for only $4.50, I'm impressed.  Ended up using a glass cigarette ash tray for the candle plate. Genius.

From Bardot, bought a synthetic brown leather waist belt. I kept changing my mind either to buy it here or somewhere else. But bought it anyways, bought a size small and tried it on again at home, its still a little big. I think i might need to drill an extra hole. $20

From sports girl, bought a scarf for $30, but at the counter they only charged me $20, it didn't say it was marked down or anything. Just smile, walk away and brag about it to someone later. It was extremely overwhelming when picking a scarf, god damit. So many colors, style and material to choose from. Dilemma. Use eenie meenie miney mo.

Last item i want to show you is stockings from valley girl. At first i thought they were the type that only goes up to the thigh, personally, i really hate those type. Luckily one of the mannequins were wearing it so....had to check.

Plus, bought a top and a cardigan, and other random crap.(which i wont show)
Had a good day, and in a good mood.

Holidays just began.

School is finally over, and I'm on my first break. This term went by pretty fast but hectic, and i really needed a holiday. I said to myself last night "Girl, your gonna wake up tomorrow morning, get out of bed and go for a jog". I woke up panic attack when i realized  it was 10:30, and i didn't even sleep late last night. Must mean I'm really lacking on sleep.

My last day of school was very pleasant, it was one of my best friend's 14th birthday. We celebrated it at school because she was had to go to Vietnam the day right after. Leyla and I bought her a cake from cupcakes on pit, and a huge bear (Mr teddy from Mr Bean). The cake was a huge pain in the ass, because it never occurred to me that a cake like that i was suppose to book it 2 days earlier. I only booked it the night before. But it all worked out.

Way to spend my first day of the holidays was pigging out at home.
Consumed 2 mugs of green tea, while rewatching my favourite movies.
  • 500 days of Summer
  • Letters to juliet
  • How to train your dragon
Will try and blog more this holidays.
